In the town

Municipal Market
300 mJust 300 m from the hotel. Saturday mornings are the highlight, when producers from the serra bring fruit, vegetables, cheese, honey and flowers down to town.
Costume Museum (Museu do Traje)
One of the Algarve's most loved small museums, set in a 19th-century cork merchant's house: traditional dress, the story of the cork trade and a lively cultural programme.
Parish church & viewpoint
The Igreja Matriz sits at the top of the old town, with a terrace looking south over orange groves towards the sea.
Calçadinha (ancient road)
A preserved stretch of ancient paved road on the edge of town: a short, atmospheric walk along a route used since Roman times.
Jardim da Verbena
A shaded municipal garden beside the old town, home to the outdoor public swimming pool, welcome on hot summer days.
Serra do Caldeirão & walking

Via Algarviana (GR13)
The long-distance trail that crosses the Algarve's interior passes through São Brás de Alportel. We are a natural overnight stop for walkers, and local sections make easy day-hikes from the hotel.
EN2 road trip
Portugal's legendary north–south road runs through São Brás on its final stretch to Faro. If you are driving the whole EN2, we make a fitting last stop before the finish.
